At Kristen Thompson Design, we believe when the environment in your home, office, or even home-away-from-home matches its intended purpose, great things begin to happen. Most significantly, life becomes less cluttered and more intentional.
While we are passionate about fabric, textures, and overall design, we’re even more passionate about living life to the fullest and encouraging others to do the same.
If you’re seeking tranquility when you step into your bedroom, it’s an honor to play a part in bringing that peace to life. If you’re seeking creativity when you walk into your workspace, we’re here to ensure your time in the office is both productive and enjoyable.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Kristen followed her love for design to Meredith College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and a minor in Art. Her passion and reputation extend beyond design credentials as she’s been operating as an independent interior designer for more than six years, with experience along the east coast.
When Kristen isn’t busy picking out paint swatches, she’s enjoying life with her high school sweetheart, now husband, Scott. Their baby girl, Charlotte Mae, continues to make their hearts fuller and fuller each day while their two exuberant terriers, Doogan and Willow, keep them on their toes.

Dan and I were fortunate to meet Kristen before moving permanently into our new home in Raleigh after relocating from Cape Cod after 30 years. We were moving from a New England style home into an open town-home. We wanted our new furniture to flow from one room to another. We also wanted to make the right decisions from the very beginning. Kristen first assisted us in choosing our new dining room table, chairs and living room furniture. She was able to mix the fabrics and patterns that truly made our house a home. She met with us again and helped in selecting paint colors for our walls and did a remarkable job in finding the right tone to compliment our furniture. She came to visit after every delivery and on completion of the painting.
